REGRETS?

  “Had I done that my life would have turned out better." a statement that keeps running inside our heads all the time. The regret of agreements and refusals, of doing things the "wrong" way. Without taking in regard all the other confounders. What if  you had agreed but then things didn't turn out good. What if the person you refused to be with was toxic. What if the job you joined, which appears demanding now, actually leads to a successful career. When our minds are too focused on the "could've" and "would've", we fail to see what is present.  The job the you hate is what you were praying for a few years back. You went through years of education, submitted dozen of CVs, gave interviews several times before being selected for that particular role. And even if  it appears a bit heavy and burdensome at times, you need to remember how badly you wanted it in the past. And still there are people who envy you for who you are, who wish to be in...

Lucky

  Lucky Lucky are the birds that fly, I think. But are they? Small as they are, Clawed by eagles, Caged by humans, Nothing but a dinner, Not a mother, Not a baby, But food that’s served on plater To quieten hunger, And then forgotten the next day. Lucky are the flowers in fields, I think. But are they? For as bright as they are, Eaten by insects, Plucked by humans, Just to give to someone else, All in vain, And then forgotten the next day. Lucky is the human, I think. Roaming on earth, Doing as he wishes, Killing creatures and themselves, Chopping trees and spoiling oceans, Leaving dirt as he moves. For Earth is only his, he says.
