REGRETS?

“Had I done that my life would have turned out better." a statement that keeps running inside our heads all the time. The regret of agreements and refusals, of doing things the "wrong" way. Without taking in regard all the other confounders.

What if  you had agreed but then things didn't turn out good. What if the person you refused to be with was toxic. What if the job you joined, which appears demanding now, actually leads to a successful career. When our minds are too focused on the "could've" and "would've", we fail to see what is present.

The job the you hate is what you were praying for a few years back. You went through years of education, submitted dozen of CVs, gave interviews several times before being selected for that particular role. And even if  it appears a bit heavy and burdensome at times, you need to remember how badly you wanted it in the past. And still there are people who envy you for who you are, who wish to be in your shoes without knowing how uncomfortable they are.

Just know, even though its hard, it is essential. And if you find your way out of it there will still be a part of you that will regret leaving it all behind. Becasuse regret is an evil that will follow you like your shadow all your life. The feeling of what if is what many if not all humans carry all their lives. Its the curse of being a human_ the price we all pay for living and just existing.
